Tabebuia argentea

Tabebuia argentea also known as Silver Trumpet Tree is a showy, 15–25 ft tropical evergreen tree known for its silvery foliage, furrowed corky bark, and spectacular, dense clusters of golden-yellow trumpet-shaped flowers, blooming in late winter/early spring. It is a popular ornamental, drought-tolerant species native to South America, often used in landscaping for its dramatic, often leafless, flowering display.

What makes it special:
Brilliant gold/yellow, 2–3 inches long, trumpet-shaped, appearing in terminal clusters.
Silvery-green to gray, pinnately compound (5–7 leaflets), giving the tree its silvery appearance.
Distinctive deeply furrowed, corky, light gray bark on a often contorted or crooked trunk.
Small evergreen tree that often becomes leafless just before blooming.
